Celebrity and Nose Jobs

August 24th, 2009

Nose Job or rhinoplasty has been around for half a century now. No one is born with perfect physical features. So you can take help of plastic surgery. It is said that nose is the most important feature of our face and if it becomes a little more perfect, your face will become more attractive.

Here we are discussing some celebrities who have undergone rhinoplasty. Angelina Jolie is said to have had a nose job sometime during the last ten years. Some others think she has only got the tip of her nose refined.

Ashlee Simpson the singer’s nose job created quite fervor among her fans! A little time before the surgery, she was quoted saying that we are made unique which should make us proud and confident. But getting more beautiful is getting better. Right?

Britney Spears has been in limelight for all the wrong reasons but the nose job got her a more beautiful contoured nose. Cameron Diaz had to get her nose fixed because she broke it for the fourth time while surfing. It is said that the nose job helped her not only medically but also to correct the crooked nose of the past whose bridge was twisted towards the right top area of nose. She wisely opted for non-perfect asymmetrical as her charm lies in not being a perfect classic beauty. Catherine Zeta Jones had a nose job long time back. Her surgeons definitely deserve praise for their great work. Jennifer Lopez has nose thinned way backing 1999.It is a good example of rhinoplasty as the difference is not overtly visible but enhances her looks anyways. Salma Hayek’s nose job is more of ethnic rhinoplasty. Jennifer Aniston nose job is one of the best works of rhinoplasty. Kate Hudson got an excellent fix through nose job for her old fat pudgy wide nose.

Cher has had so many plastic surgeries that you may call her the plastic surgery poster girl. The 61 year singer and actress went under the knife for rhinoplasty.

In yesteryears actress Marilyn Monroe underwent rhinoplastyn in 1946 which made her nose look more feminine and delicate.

Among the male celebrity with the nose job are Tom Cruise, Sting, and Zack Efron.

Not all nose jobs give better results. These six celebrities did go under the knife but it did not produce the favorable results. They are Catherine Bell, Jackie Stallone, Jocelyn Wildenstein, Michael Jackson, Latoya Jackson and  Micaela Romanini. Michael Jackson and his sister’s nose job can easily be called the cosmetic mess up in celebrity history. She went a little too far with the nasal correction. She looks as bad as her brother Michael. The most horrifying effect that rhinoplasty ever produce was that of Jackie Stallone, mother of super star Sylvester Stallone. She has gone under the knife many times so we can say that only the nose job was not responsible for the horrifying old lady that she is today.
It is certainly more probable to have positive results of nose job. Be sure to do your homework and find a skilled, attentive and highly qualified surgeon. A nose job can successfully alter the appearance of a nose by downsizing it, or removing a bridge hump. It can also give definition to the tip of a nose or soften the tip. A nose job can draw the nostrils in or increase depending on what effect is needed to bring harmony to your face.

Rhinoplasty will change how you look?

August 13th, 2009

Cosmetic surgery is a specialized surgery and is performed either to correct disfigurement or to enhance the patient’s features. The most common cosmetic procedure for children is correction of a cleft lip or palate. In adults, the most common procedures are remodeling of the nose (rhinoplasty), removal of baggy skin around the eyelids (blepharoplasty), facelifts (rhytidectomy), or changing the size of the breasts (mammoplasty).

Rhinoplasty or ‘nose job’ as is known in common parlance, is a plastic surgery used to repair an ill shaped nose. It is basically a surgical procedure to reshape your nose. But it works more than just correction of your looks. It can correct even more serious problem such as breathing difficulties or speech errors due to nasal block. The surgery helps to change the size and shape of your nose while keeping the nose proportionate with the rest of the face. The tip of the nose can be reduced to give a petite look and the bridge of the nose may also be altered a little. It can change the nose width at the bridge and the humps or depressions on the bridge. If you have a nose tip that is too large or turns up too much, you can get that corrected too.  All this is done keeping in mind the suitability of the changes with the person’s face. The purpose of this surgery is not to make you look fake, unnatural or unappealing but improving your appeal while maintain structural integrity. Besides changing your look it can also help you become more self-confident as it makes you look better!

Since the nose is the most prominent feature of the face and even the slightest bit of inexperience can be drastic for anyone to have to undergo, for better or worse. Therefore it is very important to choose an experienced Cosmetic or Plastic surgeon for yourselves. One of the best ways to ensure the surgeon is qualified and experienced is by making sure that they are certified by the local board of plastic surgeons to perform the procedure. After you choose the surgeon, go for several rounds of consultations to know about your particular case. Go for surgery only after you are fully satisfied and have generated adequate amount of trust on the doctor.Nose is the most important facial feature of a human face and you cannot afford to be negligible as the changes will be paermanent. No prize for guessing that you will like to have good change only!

Rhinoplasty can remove the bump on your nose which often distracts from the other aesthetic feature. The bump disturbs the harmony between the different features of the face. Performing a rhinoplasty not only improves the appearance of the nose, but also can improve the entire appearance of the face. Some additional changes are made to other parts of the face besides nose to restore the balance. Since the bump is gone there is no more distraction from the other beautiful features and the person will look as beautiful as never before.

A rhinoplasty is an operation to improve the appearance of the nose. It can also be used to improve breathing. A successful rhinoplasty requires careful preoperative planning. Each part of the nose, including the dorsum (or "bridge" of the nose), the tip, the nostrils and their relationship and proportions to each other must be carefully analyzed. The effect that a manipulation of one part will have on the appearance of another must be predicted and calculated. Rhinoplasty is truly a combination of art and science.

A rhinoplasty can be performed in one of two ways. The preferred approach is the "Closed" approach in which no external incisions are made. All incisions are made within the nose. The advantage of this approach is that no external scars are created. All scars remain hidden with this technique. The “Open” approach refers to a technique in which a small incision is made across the "Columella" (which is the small bridge of tissue between the nostrils leading up to the tip of the nose). The incision is designed so that when it heals, it is inconspicuous. Furthermore, when someone is being viewed at eye level, this part of the nose and the scar are generally not visible. It is opted for patients who have breathing problems.

Without a doubt of grain we can say that the above surgeries are highly specialized and need careful and detailed preparation and execution. It involves actual surgery and anesthesia. You can even claim medical insurance for your nose job if you can link it up with a medical problem.

Dr. Diaz who practices in Beverly Hills has a score of celebrity clients who come mostly for Rhinoplasty. Celebrity or no celebrity, there is no lack of attention paid by Dr. to any of this patient.
