And why not…all that’s best of dark and bright, would meet in your aspect, and your eyes..

Which is why the tiny laugh lines, the crows feet, the dark circles, the bags under the eyes, and the sagging brows irk you so….Which is also why even the beginnings of a haze gives you a panic attack, and a red eye is scarier than it should be…

Which is why it is good sense to care for them. Functionally, because they are your window to the world, to color, to light , and to shape and form. A regular yearly visit to your ophthalmologist, even if you are asymptomatic, will ensure that there functional status is up for review and any possibility of an ailment can be picked up at its nascent stage. Another aspect of taking care of your eyes is taking care of their aesthetics. Not just the quest for the elusive elixir of youth, but also the very basis of your self confidence and positive self image. Blepharoplasty or eyelid surgery is a surgical procedure which reshapes the upper or lower eyelid, or both. The indications of this surgery can be both functional and cosmetic. The  results of this procedure can be dramatic in terms of a rejuvenated appearance of the surrounding eye area as well as improvement in various lid abnormality related symptoms.

Various abnormalities of the lid including drooping, sagging and fatty deposits can be corrected througha combination of surgical and laser procedures. Often symptoms like foreign body sensation, impaired peripheral vision, heaviness of eyelids, and excessive watering of the eyes may also be relieved by the procedure.

The indications for blepharoplasty include loose or sagging skin which alters the natural contour of the upper or lower eyelid, sometimes impairing vision, bags under the eyes, fatty deposits, puffiness of eyelids and wrinkles.
